Sigma Phi Epsilon | Pennsylvania Theta Chapter at Carnegie Mellon University

Closing out the big three this year was buggy, headed up by Chairman Bryan Bleda and Push Captain Brad Holden.  You can see a few of the members of SigEp Buggy 2011 below, along with driver Antara Sarkar

This year SigEp built Mamba, named for the fastest snake on the planet.  Mamba’s solid construction and remastered steering was a first step toward a SigEp Buggy team that isn't just competitive with other fraternities, but independent organizations like SDC and Fringe.   SigEp’s A team once again broke the 2:10:00 barrier, but unfortunately was disqualified due to a failed brake test. However, through this year’s races, it became apparent to the buggy community that SigEp Racing will be a force to be reckoned with.  We look forward to our 2011-2012 season under the direction of new Chairman Ben Cohen, as well as new Head Mechanic James Snyder.
